Episode 45: Unmoderated Moderation

Alright, 'Combies!! The boys are back again and they've got a pretty interesting topical ascension this time around. They're bringing an  all too necessary discussion of the insanely frequent unarmed shootings of people of color, the ridiculous outrage over the "Women Only" showing of "Wonder Woman" at the Alamo Drafthouse and a long overdue review of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Episode 43: The Color of the Solar System

Alright, 'Combies, as you know, your boys have a tendency to keep things light but we also don't shy away from difficult topics either. So for Black History Month, the boys have decided to get real and going deep. From the origins of the month as Negro History Week to a wide range of social and political issues. The boys are diving deep and they're talking about some real issues and ills, so settle in, 'Combies,and let's get REAL as we swim through the depths of humanity and explore among the color of the solar system.

Episode 41: Doctors, Detours and Dick-sclusions!

Here we are, 'Combies, the last episode of the year and the boys are going out in their typical flair! Come on down as Joe, Paul and Drew review Marvel's latest cinematic daliance, Doctor Strange. The boys give you the rundown on the film but also dive into a rather interesting controversy that spun out of a casting choice made in the film, as well as an in-depth dscussion on media coverage in general. Ready yourselves because this one gets really tangential so keep your head on a swivel because they're going all over the place. Oh and you'll also get to find out what a good sandwich is worth.

Episode 32: Otaku Ambitions and the Rants that follow

The boys are back and they're bringing a new young entrepreneur into the Hideout! Ervin Johnson, of Shining Otaku, share with the boys his new community oriented manga platform and forthcoming plans. However, it doesn't take long for Ervin to join in on their antics as they discuss numerous up-and-coming bits in pop culture from Batman v. Superman to the new Ghostbusters film. This one goes pretty up and down so be sure to brace yourself (sides and all!).

Episode 28: Social Justice WTF?!

Joined by our 'Combie Tess, Mark and Joe examine numerous controversies in geek and national news, ranging from the Indiana Religious Freedom Act to the infamous variant cover outrage that has gripped the geek and artistic communities. We're digging deep on this one and getting real on these topics tonight. So kick back and listen while we get to the meet of not only issues involved but the consequences of these issues, as well as what lead to their prominence.
